What do you mean this is silly?

Alive and very well.

Wow, today was one of those days that I get all spiritual.

For those of you that don’t know; the bicycle was instrumental in saving my life.  *Here is some of the original story.  I’m not looking for sympathy, just explaining why being on two wheels means so much to me.  I hope you’ll understand who I am, where I’ve come from and that ANYONE can make the changes to become a better person.  What will help you escape? I’m proud to say it was a bicycle, a no-name 20″ BMX bicycle.

So the wheels turn and for 2012 I’m returning to a former team w/ a newer name: Stan’s NoTubes/AXA Equitable Cycling Team.

Click on the picture below for the Stan’s NoTubes/AXA Equitable main page:

Here is the team blog:

There’s also a Facebook Page and Twitter account.  I’d greatly appreciate it if we could generate some new “friends” and “followers.”

My goals?  Simply explained with a quote from Grandma Moses – “Life is what we make it, always has been, always will be.”

Of course there will be some events on my calendar and I really look forward to running Stan’s NoTubes wheelsets for all of them.  I will be staying aboard *Cannondale too.

I’m kinda superstitious and like to talk about events AFTER I’ve finished them.  Please check back as the year rolls on to see what I’m up to in my cycling life.  I’ll be humbled if you do.

Major thanks to my *friends, family and loved ones for their unconditional care.

Keep on keeping on.

* The “Why I Ride” video in the VodPod is a video and I completely relate to it.  Check it out.

*ALL my friends and special props to my Ciclismo buddies for a great year.  I still hope to see y’all often.

* The first piece of given cycling equipment was a Cannondale.  It was a used red criterium frameset.  The good folks at (now closed) T-Town Cycles and Cannondale were the some of the first bike related people to help me out.  I was 18 years old.
