UPDATE! Good luck Chad, BELIEVE!
It appears that Chad Gerlach is back on the streets.
I hope he doesn’t give up on himself.

I raced as a cat 1with Gerlach back in his early days when he raced with Montgomery Bell and Plymouth teams. He crashed at our place a few times over the years. He was tremendously gifted but pretty short on common sense and tactically blunt. I watched him make hundreds of mistakes during a race but could still make the final selection thanks to his motor. Was happy to hear he got clean and saw results again this year. Sad to see he has relapsed.

Although…I never walked in his shoes. Seems with coming back to Professional Cycling, I thought he set himself up for failure.
